Petit Goat Cheese & Prosciutto

The tastiest aperitif ever, thanks to @dirtysouthwine and one of the most coolest experiences of my life

So, block party was a blast per usual.  Now, I’m a woman of my word, and I promised in my last post that I would share the mastermind behind the Petit Goat Cheese & Prosciutto. Continue Reading…

Summer Fun Punch

Summer finally hit Seattle and we celebrated our overdue solstice at the Capitol Hill Block Party

Last year, we threw a big, all-weekend event for the Capitol Hill Block Party given our close proximity to one of Seattle’s many annual music festivals.  This year we kicked off the event with date night at Dinette, then opted for a last minute and low key gathering, and only trekking to the Saturday lineup after some fun, summery, homemade cocktails.  Here’s a fruit filled mix that will surely keep you cool this summer. Easy Peasy Quesadilla

My half eaten quesadilla while enjoying the Space Needle view.

So, if you read the updates to my last recipe post, you’ll see why I decided to drop the “TJ Challenge” branding for my recipes.

Housekeeping aside, let’s talk about how easy peasy it is to make a (relatively) healthy and homemade quesadilla.  I was ravenous after my gruesome crossfit workout, and had nearly zero energy (not to mention patience) to make a meal when I got home.  All I could do was think of as many different ways to stuff my face as fast as possible.  And that is how I came to creating these simple steps. Integrating Search & Social Media

Independent spend in social marketing is increasing, via eMarketer

Today, I attended the Search Marketing Now webinar “Social Media Success = Search + Social” sponsored by Covario.  As social networks have grown and somewhat matured in the past few years, search marketers are discovering a synergy between their search engine marketing (SEM) and social campaigns.  We know people are spending more time consuming and sharing content on Facebook and Twitter, but how much exactly?

+ More than 65M people “like” things on Facebook daily
+ More than 200M Tweets on Twitter daily

This means there are valuable data that can be leveraged for cross-marketing efforts.  Here are some tidbits I learned. Continue Reading…

Best Guacamole Ever

Fresh veggies make me happy.

[Updated 7/22/11]  This month, I kicked off the Trader Joe’s Challenge after launching the new site redesign.  I had originally published this post as Trader Joe Challenge #1, but realized it might be a bit misleading since 100% of the ingredients may not be from Trader Joe’s.

I’ll continue posting recipes inspired by good old TJ’s, but will label them as recipes alone (and not as a TJ Challenge).  My recipes will still revolve around cost efficient cooking while maintaining a healthy lifestyle for busy people on the go!  So, the guacamole…

Happy 4th of July, everyone!  I would personally like to thank all those who are serving on behalf of our country.

What are your plans today?  For you last minute BBQ’ers, here is my favorite guacamole recipe.  Some of you will be happy to know, this recipe marks the commencement of my Trader Joe’s Challenge. Enjoy!

Trader Joe’s Challenge Kickoff!

This weekend, I’m finally kicking off the Trader Joe’s Challenge.

The Trader Joe’s Challenge is a collection of recipes using majority of ingredients from Trader Joe’s, which provides an easy shopping list to maintain a healthy lifestyle for busy people on the go!

I’ve been meaning to start this challenge for some time.  It all began like this. Continue Reading…
